PERSONALITY: here you go!

Development in Eachdraidh: Johnny's two years in the Drabwurld have changed him in ways big and small. He first arrived as a cocky superhero who thought the war had been elaborate play-acting and the joke would wear off in time. He believed this steadily until war happened, and he'd been forced to fight for his life. The upfront brutality and massacre (as well as the fall of Caer Scima) gave him the first taste for war, and he had never really been given the chance to be himself again. It also cemented his great dislike for the Seelie, his enemies, but he would never use unfair methods against him.

Johnny, being naturally adaptive, thrived in the Drabwurld, making friends and fighting the good fight for the sake of his world and everyone he loved in it; saving one prickly Jack Benjamin, which made for the start of a weird... thing that came to a head during Samhain. He had taken an exceptionally long time to realize his budding feelings for the man, and had wrestled with that for a longer time; things had been rough and they fought often. But eventually, their relationship began to develop and mature from a one-off fling he'd indulged in out of curiosity to something deeper, better.

Johnny is still hotheaded and rash, but in a world without the rest of the F4 he is allowed to soar and to prove himself to the people who don't know him, to mellow out and come into his own. His desire to prove himself and to help the refugees (he had developed a soft spot for them) had shown that he wasn't much of the selfish jerk he had been before, that he was growing into himself as a man and as a hero with the weight of power on his shoulders.

Then came a death that was close to him that shook him to his core, enraged and horrified him enough to meet the Unseelie monarchs. He stepped forward and from there was borne an ambition rooted in the desire to protect, and a burning hot desire to show the Drabwurld that the Unseelie were strong and they would not bow. Stubborn and determined, he stuck to his guns, impressing three of the existing barons/baronesses with his desire to take on the heavy responsibility of being a baron of a spire. Despite having a target on his back as Baron, Johnny never faltered, seeking to carry out what needs to be done to protect the Unseelie.

When he ascended to the position, he was baron over a broken pile of rubble. Thus began an intense period of rebuilding, Johnny's overwhelming determination and willpower ensuring that refugees that fled to them had jobs, shelter, and would be under his protection. From there Gailleann was born, a grand spire that was a testament to Johnny's will and Jack's quietly noble, unwavering support. Throughout all these, Jack was his sword, his advisor, his partner; the teeth behind the power. Johnny might be baron, but in his eyes they are equals. He had grown to depend on Jack's wise counsel, learning from him, and even taking on some of his sharper traits on the occasion. He was steadily growing, becoming more mature, and despite the many road bumps he and Jack had in their blossoming relationship, he was still learning. Jack was his bedrock and his support; through him Johnny knew he could do anything, drawing strength from the faith the man had in him. In his love for him he had gifted Jack with a castle amidst many things, and trusted him above all others. Jack, after all, had become lover, confidant, partner and best friend.

One thing stayed true: he was a good man, and he could never, never cross the line into cold-blooded murder. During an emergency conclave of baron/esses to discuss desperate measures they could take against the Seelie side (which involved poisoning, death, burning), Johnny fought not to go down that road, that there ought to be honor even if the Seelie had none, and he could not bear to poison children and other innocents who were only caught up in the crossfire.

Which, of course, led to his betrayal of the Unseelie, joining a third faction to find a better way to end the war. Minimal bloodshed, minimal lives lost. When they came out of the other end, Johnny was offered a chance to go home, and he leaped at the chance, having grown tired of all the killing and war. But home was a short-lived experience, and things had never been quite the same again when he was sent back to the Drabwurld. Half his heart lay with his family, and the other half, Jack.

He is still working through this. Johnny is still flirtatiously charming and shamelessly ebullient at times -- but as a result of his years in the Drabwurld, there is also an edge to him, a maturity and a weariness of battle that can be glimpsed from time to time. There is much that he has learned about himself, much he has proved to himself, and from there he possesses a new confidence that stems from his accomplishments, and not just his own arrogance.

INVENTORY: the FF blue suit that he's wearing, clothes on his back. the ring on his finger given to him by jack, as well as the blood crystal bracelet. neither the ring nor bracelet hold any powers.
